第三个里程碑式示范飞行中使用的基于生物的燃料，采用100％可持续航空燃料供电

Virent的基于植物的合成芳香煤油如今为Amirates Airline示范飞行提供了动力，这是中东和北非首次在一种发动机中使用100％可持续航空燃料（SAF）和另一个发动机中使用的传统喷气燃料。Marathon石油公司的Virent使用其Bioforming®工艺生产合成的芳族煤油（SAK），这是使100％SAF成为可能的关键成分。
